On September 25, the sixth stage of the online charity race RENOVATION RUN 2022 ONLINE — Stage Mykolaiv, has finished. People from all over the world ran for Mykolaiv, a city that still suffers from shelling almost every day. 314 participants from 21 countries covered their distances: 159 runners chose 10 km, and 59 athletes ran the half-marathon. Run Ukraine sincerely thanks everyone for their participation in the Stage Mykolaiv and their significant contribution to the joint great cause — the reconstruction of Ukraine!
According to the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkevych, the russian occupiers caused more than UAH 813 million worth of damage to the city. Thousands of private homes and about 250 communal facilities were damaged, including kindergartens, schools, hospitals, cultural and sports facilities. To help the city with urgent renovation, 70% of the profit from registration for the race will soon be donated to Dobrobat volunteer building division for the urgent restoration of houses in the region.
Thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, our state is returning its territories, and we continue to rebuild the country. The series of RENOVATION RUN 2022 ONLINE will also continue: we are already preparing new stages for new cities because we have a lot of work to do to restore the liberated regions.
